[Article] So Ji Sub Prepares For Fan Service In 'Oh My Venus'

Fans were already excited about the fact that So Ji Sub plays a leading role in the upcoming drama "Oh My Venus." And that was before KBS released a clip of So Ji Sub in training for his new role.
Since So plays a high profile trainer in the drama, he needs to get in even better shape than he is already in. That means extra training sessions to beef up his already sculpted muscles. The KBS clip not only offers glimpses of his efforts but helps viewers guess just how much of So Ji Sub will be seen in the drama.
unusual for the actor to work out with a trainer before a role. So met with a trainer before appearing in "The Master's Sun." But this role requires more pre-drama workout sessions since he's supposed to be a fitness pro in top shape and his gym clothes will reveal more of his body. Exercising in real life or dramas has never been a problem for So.
"Exercising scenes are comfortable for me because I actually enjoy working out a lot," So Ji Sub said in a 2009 interview with Allure magazine.Exercise has been part of So's daily life since the days he dreamed of becoming a professional swimmer.

Although he no longer swims competitively he still enjoys the sport.
"I continue to swim and do weight training, which I've done since a long time ago," he said. Whether the circumstances permit it or not, exercise is something I do whenever I get the time."
One way he fits exercise into his daily schedule is to wake up at a set time. That way no matter how busy he is, there is always an assigned time to work out.
But occasionally a drama role equires some extra workouts. For example, for his role in "Only You," he learned to box. For his "Oh My Venus" he has taken a few extra turns on the monkey bars.
In the drama he plays personal trainer Kim Young Ho. Kim's decision to become a trainer and focus on physical fitness was an odd one for someone who is the heir to a medical corporation. But exercise is his life. Shin Min Ah plays lawyer Kang Joo Eun. She has struggled with her diet and weight so she asks her old friend Kim Young Ho to help her get in shape. Shin needs to feel better about herself, more self-confident. He can't resist helping a friend. But in the process they may become more than friends.
"Oh My Venus" also stars Jung Gyu Woon, Yoo In Young, Jo Eun Ji and Super Junior M's Henry Lau. It begins airing on November 16.
Check out the training clip below and let us know if you are (even more) excited about this drama.
