2013-04-26

Actors So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin have been cast for the Hong Sisters′ upcoming drama.

The two have been cast as the leads of SBS′ The Sun of the Lord.

So Ji Sub will take up the role of the cold and greedy company president Joo Joong Won [aka Joo-goon (boy)], while Gong Hyo Jin will appear as his dark and tearful secretary Tae Gong Sil [Tae-yang (girl)].

The drama will be So Ji Sub′s first since SBS′ Ghost last year, and Gong Hyo Jin′s first since her 2011 MBC drama The Greatest Love.

It will be in a new ′romcom-horror′ genre never seen before. Tae Gong Sil, who can see ghosts and can′t sleep at night because she′s haunted, will come to be comforted by the most selfish man she′s worked under.

In the process, Gong Sil will open herself up to the world, and Joong Won will learn that there are more important things in life.

The drama will be helmed by the ever-popular Hong Sisters and producer Jin Hyuk, who is known for his work with Shining Inheritance, Prosecutor Princess and City Hunter.

A rep from the drama′s production company Born Factory said, "We concentrated on casting figures that fit the characters well. This drama will have viewers, who are always thirsty for the most basic emotions, in joy, fear and tears at the same time."

The Sun of the Lord will start airing from August.
